The Castle High School baseball coaching staff will hold two open field workouts for players in the 7th and 8th grade in the Castle HS system. The open field sessions will run from 1:00 to 2:30 at the CHS baseball field on Sunday September 11th and Sunday September 18th. These two workouts are voluntary and will give the coaches a chance to see players on the field before try-outs in February.
Players should wear a tshirt with their last name on the back. Also, print out a Cub info form from the CHS baseball website (http://padlet.com/cwelch1/welch20) and bring it to the field on Sunday.
Contact Coach Welch at email@example.com with any questions.

The NJB Board of Directors has voted to change the age grouping for League IV (Instructional Pitching Machine). The Board has proposed modifying the by-laws to allow 5 year old players the option of playing either T-Ball (League V) or Instructional Pitching Machine (League IV).
Under this proposal, T-Ball ages will be from 4 to 5 years of age and League IV will be 5 to 6 years of age. Parents of players may at their sole discretion decide which format best fits the ability and desire of their child. This proposal does not affect any other leagues nor does it allow players who decided to play in League IV as a 5 year old to move up to League III as a 6 year old, except as allowed under the Age/Grade rule.
Per our by-laws, this change will be considered for final adoption at the scheduled Board Meeting on 8/7/16 at 6:00PM at Pizza Chef. All parents/coaches of players in the league are always welcome at any board meeting. If you have any questions, you may attend the board meeting or email us at email@example.com.

Registrations for the spring season have been strong with most leagues at or very near our planned capacity. The new online site appears to be working very well and is providing a very clear picture of where league numbers stand. Therefore, the Board of Directors has approved an extension of the early registration period for Leagues 1, 2, 3, and Babe Ruth to March 6th. The early registration period for League 4 & 5 will remain open through at least mid-March.
This action waives the late fee for registration only. Once a league reaches the planned capacity, a waiting list will be started in the order of registration. We will evaluate the ability to expand the number of teams based on the availability of players, coaches and sponsors.
